Levolux tackles heat gain at Twickenham

While temperatures on the pitch may boil over when England meet Wales in the 6 Nations Championship later this month, Corporate visitors to Twickenham Stadium’s South Stand will be having a chilled out time, thanks to solar shading from UK specialists Levolux.

A strong pack of state of the art solar shading solutions has been fitted at the development, providing maximum solar shading for corporate entertainment areas and a hotel at the rear of the new stand.

By combining Aerofoil Fins, Matrix XL and Walk on Brise Soleil systems, with a bespoke rugby-ball shaped nosing, Levolux has created a stylish, efficient way to prevent solar gain and to help manage internal temperatures.

At the ground and first floor levels, 280mm horizontal aluminium Aerofoil Fins have been fitted to offer an attractive solar shading solution.

Surrounding main corporate areas above, including luxury hotel rooms, Levolux’s Walk-on and Matrix XL Brise Soleil Systems are being used for ultra efficient shading.

The Walk on Brise Soleil system also provides a rigid platform to allow maintenance work and window cleaning to be carried out safely whenever needed as well as providing solar shading protection.

Finally, Levolux Ventilation Louvres have been installed to screen plant areas on the South Stand roof. They feature a contoured, aerodynamic shape, with inherent strength, for an attractive appearance and maximum ventilation.

Like many Levolux products they are virtually maintenance free too.

All Levolux solar shading systems are backed by the company’s design, manufacture and installation package, along with a three year warranty.
